Half Life Game Engine

How can i play Half Life 2 without an internet connection?

The ports that steam needs to connect doesnt work where i live anymore but I updated the games when it did work then started them in offline mode and episode one and two work, but not half life 2. Is there a patch or something i could use to get it to work?

2. It seems that there was a HL2 update that was available (which you did not get) the last time you updated Steam. You will have to find a way to connect to internet. Or else you will not be able to play.
